Valley Painting: Using watercolor, I painted a picture based on the image of a valley. Here, I learned how certain brush strokes and layering can be used to give perspective and the illusion of 3D. The art elements used include color, texture, and value. Together, they created a sense of space and 3 dimensions on a 2 dimensional image. Contrast and balance were used to do the same thing. I just think it's interesting that this can be done with this level of detail. I also liked learning the little tricks with strokes to add more detail with less work.
