Panda Prints (Final Drafts): Using paint, and a carver, I created a print with a stamp in the form of a panda with bamboo in the background. When doing this project, I learned how to make prints using stamps, and how to carve them out. I messed with some of the deepness of carvings to create a sense of texture and used color/value as an element to bring the markings on the panda. All of these together made what I think is a cute scene with actual texture and value, even though it's only a 2-D image. I made a panda because once again, I was in the mood to draw an animal, and was looking for something that didn't require as much tiny details (due to the carving), but wouldn't be overly easy. I thought of a panda due to its excellent examples of value with its black and white patterns.
