Using pencil, this is a still life of two transparent shapes and a glass of water. One skill I developed was shading in order to bring a sense of realism to the piece. Some art elements (like lines, shapes, space, and value) were used to emphasize the design element of contrast. Space and shapes were used to show what was in front of what, and the value was also used to create space and contrast. Shading is a skill that I've been wanting to further develop for a while now, because I would love to create more realistic drawings. My current style is mainly comical and not really anything along the lines of "realistic." It's important to have different viewpoints and for an artist to be able to show those to the viewers.
