Spooky Trees: Using pencil, I drew out sketches of a landscape with trees, then with paint, I added colors and a feeling to it (as well as details). The main point of this was to show us how to make landscapes, and how to give feelings to paintings. The main art techniques used here are lines, values, shapes, form, and space. The main design techniques used are scale, harmony, unity, balance, and contrast. This was also a fun project to do, and it was a great way to experiment with how colors add a mood to a piece of art, and messing with different colors of paint.

Block Prints: Using pencil, I drew out a design, and then carved it out onto a block. Then, using ink, I used the block to print the design to other pieces of paper. The main point of this was to teach us how to print our designs with ink. The main art techniques used are lines, shapes, and form. Meanwhile, the main design techniques are proportion, scale, and harmony. I enjoyed this project, and though it was fun to make something with Snoopy. :D
Pen And Ink Drawing: Using a pen and some ink, I took a picture of a plant with large leaves, and attempted to draw it. The main point of this assignment was to get us to learn how to use a pen and ink, and how to shade using lines. The main art techniques used here are lines, values, shapes, and space. The main design techniques used are balance, proportion, and scale. This honestly wasn't my favorite assignment. I didn't hate it in any way, but it was definitely more difficult for me, since this was one my first attempts at drawing with a pen and ink.
Self-Portrait Painting: Using paint, I took the self-portrait drawing that I did, and painted it. The goal of this assignment was to get us to learn how to use paint, how to do different shades and how to shade faces. The main art techniques used here are lines, values, shapes, forms and space. The main design techniques used are balance, proportion, scale, unity, and harmony. While this assignment was a bit more difficult for me, I enjoyed it. I like drawing people, and that's something that I wanted to get better at. While I know this painting could use more work, I'm still happy with it at this point, as it's one of my first attempts at art with paint.
Self-Portrait: Using pencil, I took a selfie (which can be found on my working blog) and drew myself from that picture. The main point of this was to practice drawing people (without tutorials), and to use ourselves as an example. The main art techniques used here are lines, values, shapes, forms, and space. Meanwhile, the main design techniques used are balance, proportion, scale, unity, and harmony. I really liked this assignment, and it was the main one I've been looking forward to in this class. I've been wanting to learn how to draw people for a while now in a more realistic fashion other than my usual "cartoony" style.
Leaf Watercolor Painting: Using pencil and watercolor, I took a picture of some leaves and attempted to pain them. The main point of this was to paint leaves using space, shadows, and to show detail. The main art techniques used are lines, value, shapes, and space. Meanwhile, the main design techniques used are balance, contrast, emphasis, and scale. While I didn't do well on this assignment, I did still enjoy it. It was nice to start to learn how to use watercolors because I normally only use pencils.
One-Point Hallway Drawing: Using pencil, I took a picture of a hallway in the school, and attempted to draw it using one-point perspective. The main point of this assignment was to have us be able to use the one-point perspective on our own without a tutorial. The main art techniques used here are lines, values, shapes, and space. The main design techniques used are balance, contrast, emphasis, proportion, scale, unity, and harmony. While this assignment took some time, I really enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to draw something from personal experience other than from a picture or person found online.
One-Point Room: Using pencil, it's basically a drawing of a room from a one point perspective. The main point of this assignment was to teach us how to draw while keeping a constant scale with 3-D objects. The main art techniques used are lines, values, shapes, and space. Meanwhile, the main design techniques used are balance, contrast, emphasis, proportion, scale, unity, and harmony. I really liked this assignment, because it brought forward techniques that can be used in the future for different kinds of drawings and projects as well.
Line Drawing 2 (The TARDIS): Using a pencil, it's a sketch of a small figurine I have (which is from a show called "Doctor Who"). The point of this was to continue to teach us how to draw lines in single strokes while also getting us to practice drawing objects realistically. The main art elements used are lines, values, shape, and form. The main design techniques used are balance, contrast, emphasis, proportion, and scale. I thought this sketch was fun, and it was nice to have more of a choice of what to draw!
Line Drawing 1 (Leaves/Flowers): Using pencil, I drew some flowers and leaves that I found outside and took a picture of. The point of this was to teach us to draw lines in single strokes and to learn how to draw curved lines. The main art elements used are lines, value, shape, and form. Meanwhile, the main design techniques include balance, contrast, emphasis, proportion, and scale. I just like to think of it as good practice to draw more realistically.
